Xerox printers and multifunction devices have specialized client niches. I found that developing print samples for these defined demographics created a synergy that resulted in sales. Concretely, these print samples led to hundreds of leads per year, with an astronomical 25% close rate, and ~$140,000 in influenced revenue annually.

Xerox printers demonstrate their capabilities two ways: one by embedding an optimized image page on the chip; the other by building and perfecting a print sample that customers order online. With both projects at opposite ends of the development cycle, creating a consistent campaign can be a challenge. With the right team of engineers, postscript coders, and creative talent, however, the assignment is made much easier.

When asked to create a print sample that would demonstrate this printer's finishing ability, I followed my heart's content and designed and authored marketing material for a vineyard's wine, food and music festival. Sometimes you're given a clean slate and a simple request to make something you'd like to see or partake in. We should all be so lucky.

This print sample series was developed for a Xerox printer that was engineered for Design and Ad Agencies. Instead of fluff imagery, I advocated to create a series of print samples centered around one hermit collector. Designers tend to gravitate towards the visually authentic, and this series added design gravitas to a company who had little credibility in that industry.
